One of the ways that Weebly beats Blogger is by their storage space. All of the Weebly plans offer unlimited storage. That means you don’t have to worry about exceeding any limits. Zero restrictions on content volume can build you anything that you desire without a page cap. Think about all the things that you want to add to your site. Weebly will allow you to do that. Storage space is essential in building a successful blog or website.

Weebly Pro users are allowed to upload files of up to 250MB (1GB for video).

When you choose the Weebly starter plan, then you will only be able to upload file sizes that are up to 100 MB in size.

Blogger only offers its users 1GB of storage. What can you do with that? You also have the option of connecting to your Google account for more storage. Think about pages, podcasts, videos, images, etc. Your storage will eventually run out. It’s not good for the long term.

Domain name: Tie

This is a tie and here is why. They both give the standard company subdomain URL. For example, unprofessonal.weebly.com or unprofessional.blogspot.com. The reason I used unprofessional as an example is that it is never wise to have a subdomain URL. It’s not wise for business, ranking purposes, branding, etc. With Blogger if you want to get rid of their name from your url you are going to pay $12 a year, which is not bad.

On the Weebly Starter, Pro, and Business plan you are given a connect domain feature which allows you to get a domain name from anywhere and connect it to Weebly. There are places where you can buy a domain for a dollar for the first year and pay 10 dollars every year after that. Weebly is cheaper by a couple of bucks when it comes to getting a domain name, but that’s not a big issue so once again it’s a tie.

Which one offers more features: Weebly

Blogger is for blogging. It’s not built to have a lot of features. It’s only built to be a freeway to blog. Although Weebly is good for blogging they are a website builder and they have different plans. Of course Weebly is going to have more features and of course, Blogger is going to have a lack of features. They both have different goals.

Once again for a simple blogging platform, you are not going to have the best support, but Google has a nice Blogger Help forum to help their users. Weebly offers its customers phone support, live chat support, and email support. One of the things I always look for in a company is a live chat, just in case I run into any problems. It’s nice to see that they have this feature. Altogether Weebly offers more things to help you including guides.

Which should you pick?

Blog and website building is my passion. I’ve been doing it full-time for years. Between these two I would go with the (Weebly Pro Plan). It’s easier to make money with it and there is more storage space, features, etc.  But in all honesty, if you are a beginner go with WordPress. Weebly and Blogger sites don’t rank as good that is why you don’t see them at the top of search engines.
