Is WordPress Hard To Learn?

Many beginners ask is WordPress hard to learn or is it easy to learn? The answer is it is easy as pie. You might be saying to yourself, but I have no coding knowledge I don’t know how to build a website or blog. Who cares, you don’t need to know all that stuff.

Is WordPress Hard To Learn?

A few years ago I was extremely hype. I knew I wanted to start a blog, but I didn’t know where to start and what to do, but I knew it could be done.

You don’t have to pay 100 dollars for a WordPress course, I will show you how to do it for free. 14-year-old teens are building sites on daily and they are making a good living. You can do the same. You don’t have to be a computer geek.

Easy to use for beginners

When I started using WordPress the first thing I did was get a domain name. The second thing I did was get hosting. That’s really all you need to do. With SiteGround you get a free name with your hosting and it basically does everything for you. After you sign up and sign in to your site, you have to add a theme for your site. Unlike the other Content Management, Systems WordPress comes with thousands of free themes and plugins to choose from. You don’t have to be a programmer.

It is not difficult at all. I can’t explain it I must show you. Let me give you a more detailed explanation so you can grasp how easy WordPress truly is.

Everybody has WordPress

If everybody is using something I’m more confident in my ability to use it as well. For example, everybody has iPhones even little kids. That shows me that I can use it as well and even if I run into a problem most likely someone has had the same problem as well so there is an answer for it. Everywhere you turn on the internet there is a forum or a blog that has already addressed and solved your problem.

Free sites are a big no!

Never choose a free hosted platform over WordPress.org. None of the big sites on the internet set up with them because it gives your site a disability in so many areas and it cuts out a lot of the features that you need and want.

Setup

Setting up is simple. It will take you 5 minutes or less. Go to see plans and choose their startup plan, make a domain name, fill out your info, and allow their pop-up wizard to install WordPress for you. That is it! It is so easy!

Choosing a theme

After you have set up everything and you are in your blog dashboard, go to appearance and pick a theme. (No one really uses the free themes) If you are a newbie and want an easy-to-use theme that gives you good rankings then check out the Genesis themes. I guarantee you that this theme will handle all of your needs. No HTML OR CSS knowledge needed. Buy it, install it, and you’re good to go.

Sidebars

If you want to add things to your sidebar all you have to do is go to your widgets area and add the features that you want in your sidebar.

Choosing a plugin

For me WordPress is like upgrading on your cable package. One of the reasons that WordPress is so easy is because you can access plugins that are not found in any other CMS or free-hosted platform. Have fun with it. Try out all the different options. If you want a popular posts plugin, then go to the search area and type it in. Choose the one that you want and add it to your sidebar or footer.

In conclusion

WordPress is like being a freshman kid on the first day of high school. It’s easy to find classes, but you’re just not used to it so you ask upperclassmen. After the first few days, you don’t need to carry around a schedule anymore. With WordPress after a few days, you will see how exciting and easy it is to build a blog. When I first started it took me a few minutes to set up my hosting and a few minutes to set up my blog and from there, I was off to the races. Now I blog full-time. Try it for yourself. Don’t wait when it comes to dreams of being accomplished. Follow your dreams today.
